re Prof Oppenheimer

The link below for Prof Oppenheimer video, may be having some difficulty.
His video "on tracking climate change" climate change is very helpful. It is clear and concise and probably the best explanation I have seen or heard.
It can also be viewed on you tube.

carbon sequested in the soil

Did you know that by keeping groundcover on the land you can increase the sequested carbon in the soil? even in low rainfall the grasses will collect moisture in the air, and that the increase in carbon sequestion can be about 25 tonnes per hectare?

The Australian soil Accreditation scheme is working to changing the way farmers manage the land in order to "catch" or sequest carbon in the soil. They are paying farmers right now to trial the process. This fascinating scheme might even rescue us from climate change.. It's the great seed of an idea. read about it on http://www.amazingcarbon.com/Jones%20-%20Australian%20Soil%20Carbon%20Accreditation%20Scheme.pdf also read their other info on http://www.amazingcarbon.com/

Climate change and carbon is our blog name

Climate change and carbon level is about Everyones' use of the planet's resources.

Each of us needs about 18-20 trees a year to take up our carbon use and convert it to oxygen.
Plants and trees are the only living things that can create their own food from the energy of the sun. It's called photosynthesis.
Trees take in carbon dioxide and convert it to clean pure oxygen.

This site is written to help you to understand what you need to do to MINIMISE your impact and balance your carbon use.
Each person needs about 18-20 trees to do this "carbon cleaning" for them.

We have researched and written in plain English to help you to help the earth.

go to http://www.permaculturevisions.com/ and look at "be your own carbon cop", how to reduce your use and solutions. We will plant a tree for you. The price of this tree MAY BE tax deductible, and your tree will help to repair the earth. Much of our work is done because we believe in what we do.

We want to educate, inform, and even entertain you.

Enjoy our world! While you still can!
